The ESCOP also approves the use of its flowering tops for the adjunctive treatment of the common cold and to increase the elimination of liquids.

Popularly used in cases of headache, joint conditions, states in which increased elimination of fluids and fever and flu-like states are required.


Traditionally it is used for pain management, elevated body temperature and as a diuretic.
